This map is a simple cave network with an awful looking toilet and cabinet in one section, probably the bathroom, and a very big room with a large fender amp. There are some ridges on the wall, in fend these ridges are inaccessible but in fend 2 they are used to jump over to the top of the amp.

As far as maps made by Robootto go, its pretty good. Nothing I would ever play for again, bu it was interesting to look at.

Now, in fend 2 there are enemies and weapons dumped into the map. There are two spawn points, one puts you on top of a ledge where you must make some difficult jumps over a pit of alien grunts who will fill the air so full of bees I barely survived turning down the gravity and cheating my way to the fender. You want to be on top of the fender because that is were the vast majority of the weapons are.

The other spawn point is at the end of the tunnel, the spawn point from the first fend. Around the corner is the bathroom. The bathroom has one of two weapons found on the ground floor, the sniper rifle. Around the next corner is a hallway filled with gonomes, so hopefully you can use the 5 shots in the sniper to take out one or two before you die. There are crossbow bolts next to the sniper rifle but no sniper rifle ammo. Eventually a Big Momma will force its way through along with more gonomes so you better hope your friend died in the fender room filled with bees so he can help you.

Right before the fender room, with its pit of infinitely respawning enemies, is a room filled with ammo, and the Assault Rifle along with some grenades. My teammate informed me that after the update that split the MP5 and Assault Rifle into two separate weapons made it so an assault rifle would spawn with any underbarrel grenades. So, this room was originally filled with lots of ammo, but none for sniper rifle or pistol, the two weapons you have. So there are only two weapons not on the fender, one is the sniper rifle and the other is a given by the game and not the map designer.

There is no ammo on top of the fender (although there are plenty of explosives, grenades, satchel charges, tripmines(??), and snarks) except for gauss ammo so enjoy only using gauss cannon after the blowing them up gets boring.

Falling behind the fender will put the player in a room where they can control the music the fender is playing, all Doom music. There is also no way to get back on the fender once you fall off, so dying and risking having to cheat across the gap again didn't seemed worth a music change.

I will say that the alien grunts don't respawn so the air wasn't so full of bees after the initial clearing out.

There was also a room with a trapped gonome and a button that seemed to do nothing, I think it may have messed with the music.

I can't tell if I like this map, I chalk it up to Robootto maps usually offering little to no fun. I had a little bit of fun here.

Pros:

  • underbarrel grenades make a satisfying crunch when launched into a mass of aliens.
  • The fender looked cool, and in fend2 it played music!

Cons:

  • The underbarrel grenades were made possible by a game update
  • given ammo for guns we don't have, and not giving ammo for guns we do have
  • nearly impossible jumping section
  • two spawns to two different areas mean you have to commit suicide to get where you want to go
  • The fender was the only nice level detail, everything else looked like hot garbage.
