Very cool and fun map. I've just played it with a friend. The textures and the models are very nice. The final boss is fun!
I have just one request, the boxes we can move, should be made to pick them in the air, so we could unlock the secret weapons easier.
Or at least when they are destroyed, they should spawn back after time. :)
Why on Earth have I not seen this before? This looks epic.
Very nice map. The Mega Man textures fit the game better than I thought they would. The enemies have custom Mega Man models and they often replaced a good selection of enemies that fit the Mega Man world. There was one enemy that did not have a custom model. The second boss I believe. It was quite surprising that an important NPC such as a boss did not have it's own model. But I assume uliboh just forgot to apply a model to it. All areas of the map look good and gave me a nostalgic feeling, even though it's in 3D now. Each map has 3 music tracks that you can choose between, all from the Mega Man games if I'm not mistaken. No bad tunes either, two of my favorites are in here.
The puzzle areas are very well done and I had a blast playing them. I wouldn't mind having more of those and having their difficulty increased a bit.
I disliked most of the enemy battles in this map. They had way too much HP and often you were pinned down by a group of them with no way to go around. The worst part is just before the final boss. I spent a lot of time trying to shoot enemies at long distance with the mp5 and a shotgun. New waves of high health enemies kept coming and they became harder and harder to kill. Luckily there were some other platforms to jump to so all hope was not lost.
The weapons you recieve is an MP5, a shotgun and a hivehand. All which have custom models to fit the Mega Man theme. Uliboh usually puts secret weapons in his/her maps and I noticed ammo in the map for weapons I didn't have, so it's quite possible that there are some secret weapons hidden around the maps.
Now, the final boss. Even though most enemies were a pain in the ass the final boss made it all worth it. This is the most unique and fun boss battle I have ever had the pleasure to experience in SC. I don't wanna spoil anything about it but I can say that you wont be disappointed (unless your a negative jerk). It was the perfect boss for a map like this.
Go play this god damnit!
