Impossible to play this map.
hlds.exe 100% CPU Usage.
It's impossible to play if is not in a 24/7 Dedicated Server.
I noticed this, something is causing very excessive usage from the beginning of the map. It also causes mass lag for players if the maxrate is less than 10kB/sec or something silly.
I scarcely even remember the jumping puzzles. There isn't much which annoys me about this map, aside from pit drones having a tad bit too much health, but otherwise it is 'brilliant', as BMT would put it. It's a nice breakaway from the constant supply of maps utilizing standard Half-Life textures and plots, and it's pretty damn epic looking.
Fair enough I do dislike it when cutscenes make you vulnerable to enemies, but the map is pretty damn good in my opinion. It's a great visual treat, a nod to the old nostalgic fans of classic FPS games, and a tricky map to get through. Were you playing with others? You often have to use eachother to get boosted and jump long gaps, other times you have to use your wits and find your way around obstacles in a not so obvious way.
The map is sub-par. There were so many jumping puzzles that it required setting sv_gravity in parts just to make the map playable. Also, I got stuck in the secret at the gold key, requiring me to commit suicide just to get back in the game.
There's also no need to keep players vulnerable during cutscenes - especially the "obvious ones" that everyone can understand just by a simple message stating the gold key was taken.
